I have been extremely busy the past couple of weeks between work and getting an apartment ready for my brother to move into this weekend! I am so excited for my brother to be in the same town as I live. He will be going to barber school for the next year and I want to help him out as much as I can. With my couponing and the Dollar Tree I have been able to buy him tons of cleaning supplies.
I made a tower display of all the stuff I am giving him in his living room so when he gets here this weekend it will be the first thing he sees.
13 rolls of paper towels
28 rolls of toilet paper
Lysol spray
Furniture polish
2 containers of bleach wipes
4 boxes of various sizes of ziploc bags
2 tubes of toothpaste
1 toothbrush
3 larger hand soap refills
2 handsoaps
24 pairs of black socks (for school)
A few kitchen items (bowls, strainer, washcloths, and towels)
The total retail price for everything here that I got him is probably $150-$200
I only paid about $50-$75 for all of it between couponing and sales.
You can even make a tower housewarming gift with stuff only from the Dollar Tree and that could work with any budget. Set a limit of what you want to spend and only get that amount of items. You could even throw in a few food items or decorations, the Dollar Tree has some really great signs!
I also got him a Keurig K200 coffee maker, the best part I got it for only $39.99! It retails for over $100! Its not the red color I was originally going to get him but the color won’t matter to him. The Keurig is actually his birthday present as his birthday is this weekend as well.
